Krewe du Vieux 2010 - Fired Up!

This was the 4th year in a row that I have attended the parade, and again it was freezing. I can't publish all the pictures taken at the parade...but here is a snapshot to give you an idea...

Beautiful Maryland

Jake and I took a short trip up to Maryland for Heidi's wedding. Before the wedding we were able to meet up with Matt & Sarah in Fredrick, MD. Played with their dog Joe and ate some delicious crabs. Friday we drove over to Bethesda to meet up with my Parents, for what we thought would be a day at the pool. But with overcast skies and rain in the afternoon the pool was not an option. Took the free Trolley around Bethesda and then hung out in the hotel lobby playing Wii! Beau and his girlfriend Jessica drove up from Arlington, VA for dinner! Enjoyed a great meal at a fantastic tapas restaurant. Saturday ate some very sweet donuts, picked up Lisa & Orville from the Baltimore train station, and met Greta, Craig and Noah at Cosi for lunch! Heidi's wedding was beatiful and fun! Our 7:30am flight back Sunday morning was more than diffult.

Arizona in May

A trip to remember! A surprise 80th birthday party for my grandfather "poppop". There were 12 family members that either flew or drove to Sun City West from all over the country - NJ, Massachusetts, New Orleans, Iowa, California, and Arizona. It was great to see everyone and even greater to see poppop surprised by the party for him, and then surprised by each person he saw. The weekend was packed with golf, sunbathing, perogies, racetracks, and more golf!

Seattle in April

A trip to Seattle to visit Mika, Tim, Jonathan and Colin (Jake's sister, brother in-law, and nephews)was scheduled months ago and April & Vince (Jake's other sister in Chicago) hopped on board as well! It was beautiful the mountains covered in snow, and bodies of water everywhere.

Just wanted to share some fun pictures of maggie! She didn't go out in public just hung around the apt. in the "No Hurry" t-shirt I picked up in Zanzibar. The t-shirt really doesn't fit me anymore, it never did, always just a little too tight. But it fits maggie perfectly...she actually didn't even mind wearing it.
