Food

Most people leave New Orleans having gained a few pounds from the eating and drinking that takes place. Now, I am not advocating that you all go out and gorge yourself, but we do want you to enjoy the food. The food is good. Period.
The food is delicious all across the city and I will give you a few places in each area that I highly recommend:
Uptown- Casamento's- this place has some of the best oysters in town. The decor (completely tiled walls) and the people inside make this place incredible.
Fairgrounds- Liuzza's By the Track- the bbbq shrimp poboy is to die for and the gumbo is pretty good too.
French Quarter- Cafe Du Monde- beignets and cafe au lait, can't beat it.
Acme Oyster House- everything is good, really.
Port of Call- the absolute best burger in the history of mankind
Marigny- Mona's- excellent Mediterranean food
Praline Connection- awesome Southern fare

I will also suggest that you all eat a lot of crawfish, as you are coming during crawfish season (goes great with beer).

Here is one great online guide for you to take a look at:
www.nomenu.com- Tom Fitzmorris is a local food critic that has been around for years.
