To the Wedding by Streetcar

For those of you who will not be renting/driving or having anything to do with a car while you are in New Orleans this information is for you. There's a streetcar service on St. Charles Street in Uptown (Canal Street to Riverbend) among other places. Check out http://www.norta.com/index.php for more information on the different routes and times. The street car runs seven days a week to midnight. Cars operate every 10 minutes on weekdays and every 15 minutes on weekends. Besides a taxi this is your cheapest and most fun way of getting to our wedding. You can pick up the street car at any of the stops on St. Charles, and if you are coming from the French Quarter it is recommended that you board at the intersection of Carondelet/Bourbon and Canal Street Street. On one side of Canal it is Carondelet and the other side is Bourbon street. The fare to ride the street car is $1.25, in change.
Once you are on the streetcar, paid your fare and are heading in the right direction (uptown) you will get off at the Loyola/Tulane University stop. You can't miss it - two colleges with exquisite buildings on your right and the Audubon Park on your left! Start making your way through the park, there is a nice path you can follow - it will most likely be filled with walkers, runners & dogs. You will be following the lagoon, when you get to the end of the lagoon you will find the wedding location (shelter #10).
